Glider

The Glider mammal family, known for their remarkable ability to glide through the air, consists of several species primarily found in Australia and New Guinea. These small to medium-sized marsupials have a unique membrane stretching from their forelimbs to their hindlimbs, enabling them to glide over distances of up to 100 meters. Gliders are nocturnal animals that feed on a variety of plant materials and insects. They play a crucial role in their ecosystems by aiding in pollination and seed dispersal. Despite their adaptability, many glider species face threats from habitat loss and fragmentation, making conservation efforts vital for their survival.
