Jerboa

Jerboas are fascinating small mammals belonging to the family Dipodidae. These nocturnal creatures are primarily found in arid desert regions of Northern Africa and Asia. Remarkably adapted to their harsh environments, jerboas possess long hind legs that allow them to leap great distances, an efficient mode of locomotion that helps them evade predators. Their diet mainly consists of seeds and insects, and they have adapted to survive with minimal water intake. With their large eyes and ears, jerboas have heightened senses that aid in nighttime foraging and predator detection.
