Planigale

Planigales are small marsupials belonging to the family Dasyuridae, native to Australia. These tiny creatures, resembling shrews, are known for their flattened heads and agile bodies, which allow them to navigate through narrow crevices in search of insects and other small prey. Despite their size, planigales are fierce hunters and are characterized by their nocturnal habits and high metabolic rates. They inhabit a variety of environments, from arid deserts to humid forests, demonstrating remarkable adaptability.
