Pademelons are small, nocturnal marsupials native to the forests of Australia and New Guinea. Belonging to the family Macropodidae, they are closely related to kangaroos and wallabies but are distinguished by their smaller size and more rounded bodies. Pademelons have thick, soft fur and exhibit a diverse range of colors from reddish-brown to grey. These solitary creatures are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, leaves, and fruits. While they are adept at navigating dense underbrush, their populations are threatened by habitat loss and predation by introduced species.
