Heron

The heron bird family, known scientifically as Ardeidae, is a diverse group of long-legged freshwater and coastal birds. Herons are found on every continent except Antarctica, thriving in various habitats such as wetlands, rivers, and marshes. Known for their elegant posture and patient hunting techniques, herons feed primarily on fish, frogs, and small aquatic animals. Their distinctive S-shaped necks and sharp beaks make them adept hunters, while their long wingspans enable graceful, sustained flight.
