Pheasant

Pheasants are striking ground-dwelling birds known for their vivid plumage, long tails, and elaborate courtship displays. Native to Asia but introduced widely across Europe, North America, and elsewhere, these birds thrive in grasslands, woodlands, and farmlands. Males are especially flamboyant, with iridescent feathers and bold patterns, while females are more subtly colored for camouflage. Pheasants are omnivorous and often seen foraging on the ground for seeds, insects, and berries.
