Bushbuck

The Bushbuck is a medium-sized antelope found throughout sub-Saharan Africa, known for its striking appearance and elusive nature. Belonging to the Tragelaphini tribe within the Bovidae family, bushbucks are characterized by their spiral horns, which are present in males, and their distinctive coat patterns, which vary greatly depending on the subspecies and geographical location. These solitary and primarily nocturnal creatures inhabit a range of environments, from dense forests to savannahs, adapting well to both environments. They are browsers, feeding on a variety of vegetation, including leaves, twigs, and fruits, and play a crucial role in their ecosystem as both prey and seed dispersers.
