Michael Khumalo is the local Birdlife trained guide at the JG Strydom tunnel on the Abel Erasmus Pass.

Michael's specialty is the Taita Falcon. Being that he is there all the time, Michael knows just where to search for the bird on the cliffs. He does charge a small fee to help people find the birds or asks that you at least support his curio shop in return for showing where the birds are located.

Michael Khumalo also has a very good knowledge of the other local bird species including knowing their calls very well. This is a particularly useful tool to have for the regions forest birds.
