Hi all

A brief 3 hour visit to Helderberg Nature Reserve on Easter Sunday produced the following general, but nice, birds for a Gautenger! Alas no Protea Seedeater. However, the glorious autumn day and stunning views over False Bay made up for the lack of lifers.....

Cape Bulbul, Cape Sugarbird (plenteous), Southern Double-collared Sunbird, Malachite Sunbird (plenteous), Orange-breasted Sunbird (common), Cape Weaver, Grassbird, Cape Batis, Cape White-eye, Karoo Prinia, Moorhen, Yellow-billed Duck, Spur-winged Goose.

It was definitely a worthwhile visit. Are there any additions to this list out there?

Regards
Peter

When I visited the reserve I also heard (but never saw) Victorin's Warbler and had a young Cape Francolin trying to peck the end of my microphone!
