Hi

I saw this in the Waterberg over the weekend.

It had me going for a while, as I was trying to work out if the feathers are fluffed up to make it look like the bird has a white wing bar, or if there really (and hopefully) is a white wingbar, which would make it a collared fly catcher (female). I think, although the picture is not clear, the head appears to have a bit of streaking suggesting that it is a spotted flycatcher in fluffed up mode.

I would be interested if there is anybody out there who thinks that it is a female collared flycatcher, rather than the more common spotted.

Regards
Mossie
