Well this is the final posting. So maybe my 100 target in 6 days was a bit too ambitious. I had a trip list of 185, so as I did manage to get to 92, that effectively means that ever other species seen was photographed. When I sat back and reflected I noticed some glaring omissions - I had managed not to take photos of some of the REALLY common species like Cape Turtle Dove, Laughing Dove and Crested Francolin. I do have very poor quality images (good enough for ID) of Steppe and Wahlberg's Eagles. So even with those 5 added the 100 was unfortunately "a bridge too far".

So here is the final batch -

Sabota Lark

Grey Go-Away-Bird

Red-billed Buffalo Weaver (stretching it a bit with this one too)

Burchell's Coucal

Old Faithful from Lower Sabie Weir, a Wire-tailed Swallow

Really enjoying himself on the bird bath at Lower Sabie, a White-browed Robin-Chat

Always around at Sunset Dam - African Pied Wagtail

..and Egyptian Goose

Southern Red-billed Hornbill

breeding male Long-tailed Paradise-Whydah

Black-collared Barbet

Crowned Lapwing

Takes a little bit of finding, but Temminck's Courser is usually present in the short grass along the access into the Nthandanyathi Bird Hide

4 late additions on the final day, this Green Woodhoopoe just outside the gates of Crocodile Bridge Camp

a Levaillant's Cuckoo on the ramp down to the Crocodile Bridge low-water bridge

a Reed Cormorant in the middle of the Crocodile River

and finally, a Crested Barbet back at Ngwenya

Wonderful series and great birds photographed. Well done on getting 92. I am sure that if you would have reached your 100. ( :D We always seem to forget about the common species !! )
