We went to Roodeplaat Nature Reserve this morning, had a great morning, but the hilight was a good sighting of Klaas'Cuckoo at the hide on the eastern side, past the office block. It called "Meitjie" for a long time. Also found Brownbacked Honeyguide, Kalahari Scrub Robin, Whitebrowed Scrub Robin, and a host of others. A total of 75 birds in 4 hours.
Roll on summer! :)

We love Roodeplaat - we've only been there twice but both visits have produced some lifers for us. Every species you just mentioned would be lifers for us. Well done on getting 75 in 4 hours, that's quite impressive! :D

This should be a good place to visit on Big Birding Day.
