Hi All,

I have been playing around with the software tools for processing RAW images for presentation. It is quite fascinating what you can do!

I can see how they used to do the processing of film negatives..

Here are one or two images that have been through some processing:

This one of the Cape Reed Warbler was processed quite a bit. firstly cropping the image to get the bird off center. The viewer is supposed to get the feeling that the bird is going to shoot off to the right at any second.. next was to sharpen the image and then play around with various saturation options..


With this shot of the Hadeda's I could not do much with saturation due to the difficult background. Pretty much all I could do was crop the image and then play with the sharpening tools...

That is the one benefit of the K10D over the 100D is the fact that you can choose DNG raw format to directly open in photoshop.
