I just looked at a post called "eagle ID" and found out that snake eagles, and buzzards are the birds of prey with bare legs. This is a lot of help to me, as I've been struggling to differentiate them, Are there any other helpful tricks to separate predatory birds? I just recently learned, how to separate the vultures!

Do a LOT of reading!

Look at GISS (General Impression of Size and Shape)... tips like the bare legs or not...

Just to make things interesting a lot of birds of prey might go through 7 different moults before reaching adulthood and they can look completely different...

I would suggest photographing what you find, post your pictures on here and then ask why people came to their ID... so you get practice and at the same time learn from others.

Good luck!

Cheers,
