I've been taking advantage of the recent sunny weather in south-east England to try and add to my UK (and world) bird list by visiting several reserves with specific targets in mind. I've added Tawny Owl (by accident), Cetti's Warbler (at WWT Arundel), Common Nightingale (at RSPB Pulborough Brooks), Eurasian Treecreeper (at the National Trust's Box Hill in Surrey) and Eurasian Reed Warbler (at RSPB Lakenheath Fen), as well as getting a few species photographed for the first time.

Here are some from the past few days.

Common Reed Bunting - male and female at RSPB Lakenheath Fen in Suffolk

male Common Shelduck at Lakenheath

female Common Whitethroat at Lakenheath

the UK's resident swan species - Mute Swan also at Lakenheath

Eurasian Treecreeper at the National Trust reserve at Box Hill in Surrey

and three from WWT Welney in Norfolk....

Song Thrush

male Northern Shoveler

and a familiar face - Great Crested Grebe

Great shots Neil. I got the Nightingales at Pulborough Brooks recently too!
