You'll be getting tired of me saying this - but no visit to London is complete without a visit to the London Wetland Centre. I managed to squeeze in 3 hours on my last afternoon and managed some great photos.

First some of the indigenous species -

male Eurasian Blackbird

Eurasian Jay

Great Spotted Woodpecker - male (front right) was feeding juvenile (below left)

Sand Martin - one of the individuals making use of the LWC nesting boxes

Tufted Duck - female with ducklings, and ducklings taking some of their first dives

Now to the exotics - first a superb male Knob-billed Duck

and then 5 new ones for me at LWC, whether a new display or a pond I've somehow missed before I don't know

Radjah Shelduck

Eastern Spot-billed Duck

Falcated Duck - male and female

female Mandarin Duck

...and finally what I believe to be a female Baikal Teal
