Great photos!! Just one comment... your photo labeled Hottentot Teal and Ruff - the Ruff is actually a Marsh Sandpiper.

Kind Regards

Eeek. Oh dear. :(
Damn, they are very similar. My mistake.
Thanks Trevor.

Ian,

Don't worry about the ID, I am forever messing up with waders!

Hi Ian.

Firstly I don't how you can compliment my photo of the Palmnut Vulture when you take photos like that. I feel embarrased in comparison
Also on the ID, Gordon and I pestered many senior birders for at least a year with distant photos of Greenshank in the hope we would one day get someone to say it was a Godwit

Cheers.

Arrrgghhh!! I had it as a Ruff. Even had a catchy caption 'Ruff Landing' and then thought no, it can't be a Ruff. :(
LOL! Thanks.
Caption restored.

African Rail - Flying

Not the best picture to be sure but the African Rail being described as "shy skulker in dense reeds; rarely comes out into open shallow water to feed."
leads me to think that to have one flying is a little special and I shall hang onto this until something better comes along.
