Hey all, I live near Innsbruck and write a blog about my birding experiences here in Western Austria. I often mention cool spots to see Alpine birds so check it out:
http://alpinebirds.blogspot.com

also check out our national birding website: <!-- w --> www.bird.at <!-- w -->
I have translated most of it in to English but if there are pages that you would like to read that are only in German then feel free to drop me a message and I will translate it on the webpage.

Happy birding
Dale

Hi Gordon, thanks for the message.
Ja, I have been fortunate to get to play in many different parts of the world. I do miss the SA birds, but it is definitely cool to be somewhere where Euro Reed and Marsh warblers are common enough to get really familiar with them. And best of all, here they actually sing, which makes them a "song" to tell apart. No guessing and plugging various silly biometric numbers into an equally ridiculous equation for me!
