The Australian Brush-turkey - [i:2ksruzbi]Alectura lathami[/i:2ksruzbi] is found all over Brisbane including gardens where they love to dig large holes in the flower beds.

Though common on the east coast of Australia there range is restricted to within a few hundred kilometres of the sea from the northern parts of New South Whales stretching north along the entire Queensland east coast.
