Woke up at 4 Am today feeling wide awake so I decided to go for a walk. All the while I can hear that coucal calling to me. I can hear it right next to me, but can't see it Then out of nowhere I see a bird fly into a tree. I look up and there It is... A BLACK SHOULDERED KITE! when I got back home, my friend said he saw the coucal. I couldn't care less that I hadn't. <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

Nice one!

You sometimes get them at Delta Park and Emmarentia. Also around Kyalami.

Cheers,
Gordon

Yeah! I'm going for a birding week. I'll try seeing as many as I can in my area. Even better considering the European bee eaters are coming on Saturday, I'll send the list when I'm finished.
