I have to tell some-one!! <!-- s:o --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_surprised.gif" alt=":o" title="Surprised" /><!-- s:o -->

While sitting at work in my office at the CSIR Pretoria I heard a unfamiliar bird sound outside.

Outside my window a pair of Black Cuckoo-shrikes was chasing each other around in the trees - 5m from my window.

Not something you see everyday and unfortunately no camera (security) or binos present.

Cheers

And to think there are birders that would pay to see this cuckoo. Lucky you.

I as at Mountain Sanctuary Park a few weeks back when after an afternoon nap I saw a Black-Cucckooshrike in the tree alongside the bedroom window. In my enthusium to get my camera in the next room I tripped over my boots and made such a racket the bird flew off, so seen it, still need to photograph it!!!!
