Hi all,

I have just returned from an amazing birding long-weekend at Magoebaskloof.

We went looking for (and found) the Bat Hawks at their usual 'Rooikoppies location.' (See previous posts for exact directions)

On the way to the Bat Hawk site; whilst driving on the dirt road leading to the site, we spotted a European Honey Buzzard. The bird was perched approx. 20m from the road and allowed us a good view for 10 or so seconds before flying off.

We returned yesterday to look for the bird again - and it was there AGAIN!

Amazing stuff. If you are in the area, try to get a glimpse of this bird before it leaves.
