From the rusty and yellow colours on the back in flight I'd go for European Bee-eater.

NO!! it can't be <!-- s:shocking: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/shocking.gif" alt=":shocking:" title="Shocking" /><!-- s:shocking: --> , it's been the bird that I've been wanting to see for about two years (they're coming to the Northcliff ridge in November). In my opinion It's the most colourful and pretty bird in Africa, and I saw it already! Is it not possibly a carmine or white fronted bee eater?
