Sorry that I'm only getting to this now Gordon (been a little hectic and I just don't seem to get to everything!), but yes, this is definitely a Wood Sandpiper and it is moulting into breeding or summer plumage, a plumage in which the supercilium often becomes less obvious than when we mostly see it in non-breeding or winter plumage.
